Work underway on bowling greens
Work has started on £46,000 worth of improvements to the bowling greens at the Ashes
New irrigation, drainage and access will be added to one of the most-used areas of the park.
The work is funded by grants and Howden Bowls Club and is expected to be completed within three weeks, when further maintenance work on the park’s paths will take place.
Work gets underway
It follows on from a renovation of the bowls pavilion, also funded by the Bowls Club, in August.
Howden Bowls Club use the park on a daily basis throughout the summer. They have more than 100 members, but the bowls are also open for use to non-members.
The ongoing work may mean access around the bowls greens is restricted, please be aware of the ongoing activity.
