Work to improve bowls green

Work has taken place to upgrade the playing surface of the main bowls green in the Ashes.

Howden Bowls Club have spend more than £2,000 on the work, which was carried out at the end of September. The Ashes Playing Field Trust contributed £500 towards the cost.

Although it is early days, the committee of Howden Bowls Club report the green looks promising for the 2018 season.
