Work carried out on main fields

Work has been carried out on the two main fields at the Ashes intended to reduce compaction and improve drainage.

A Verti-Quake slitting machine was used on both the main and secondary fields in an attempt to alleviate the water logging issues experienced throughout the most recent winter.

The machine aerates the field, reducing compaction and creating more areas for surface water to drain through.
