Volunteers clear litter from Ashes again

The Ashes Playing Field Trust would like to extend our thanks to all the volunteers who came down to the park on the evening of Tuesday June 9 to clear litter.

Organised once again by local resident Phil Parkin, the volunteers spent around an hour collecting rubbish.

Those present were greatly cheered by the tidy nature of the site, with a noticeable drop in litter compared that collected in May.

Phil is planning on organising another clear-up in July, with further details to be posted nearer the time.
