Trust looking for new secretary

The Ashes Playing Field Trust is looking for someone to assist the development of our park as secretary.

Barbara Abbott is set to retire after more than 20 years in the role, playing an active tole in the work of the Trust and the park.

The trustees are now looking for someone who would be willing to take on this role of supporting the Trust in its work. The candidate will have an interest in the our park’s development and a key aspect of the role would be to attend the monthly evening meetings of the Trust to take minutes and circulate them to all trustees.

There would be other associated duties linked to the role. The suitable person will be well organised with an eye for detail, good verbal and written English, be computer literate – especially in the use of Word, Excel and email – and have the ability to respect confidences.

The role does carry a small remuneration and expenses will be paid, though it is expected that the appropriate person will also be community minded.
