Our park has a fascinating history dating back hundreds of years. Local historian Susan Butler is joining us once again  to talk us though an illustrated history of the site.

The free talk takes place in the historic Manor House from 2pm on Friday April 7, and is the second time Susan has given up her time to discuss the park’s history after a packed event last week.

We will also have tea and cake, and would love to hear your stories about your experiences in the park – do you remember the old playground equipment, or were you among the thousands of people who have played organised sport on our field? Remember when Howden Show used to finish with a firework display, or the time Red Rum stopped by to take in the surroundings?
