The eagerly-anticipated new playpark at the Ashes will be officially opened on Saturday August 1.

The playpark will be named in honour of former Trust committee member Daphne D’Ark who passed away recently.

The site will remain fenced off until the official opening at 10am on Saturday August 1, as it is vital the grass is given every chance to take hold before the little ones start running around on it.

With an opening during the school summer holiday it is hoped that the new equipment will provide many hours of safe and happy playtime for the children.
