New website for the Ashes

New website for the Ashes

The Ashes Playing Field Trust have launched a new website, designed to make it easier to keep up to date with the latest news and get involved with events at the park.

The website launch is part of an attempt to increase awareness of how the park is run – as a charity and largely reliant on donations and fundraising, rather than most parks which are run by councils – in the aftermath of the arson attack which destroyed the iconic pavilion.

Deciding what will replace the pavilion is a huge decision, and the Trust will be carrying out consultation over the comings months as we figure out what facilities are wanted by the local community.

But we want to make people more aware of the other aspects of the park, and what we rely on donations to fund – right down to clearing the litter and cutting the grass.

You can find out about how to contribute to the costs via the donation page, while you can find out more about us here.

We have also revamped our social media presence, meaning users of the park can now interact with us via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Our social media channels are also integrated into the website, with latest feeds built into the site and the ability to share latest news stories quickly across various different sites.
