Howden Show tickets on sale

Tickets for this year’s Howden Show, which takes place on the main field of the Ashes on Sunday July 5, have gone on sale.

Prices remain frozen for a third year in a row, with advance tickets costing £5 for adults, £2 for U14s and £12 for a family ticket (two adults and two U14s).

These can be bought now from Parkin’s Butchers, Annie’s Fruit Bowl, Michelle Louise, California Gardens, Flourish & Prosper, Touchwood Homecare and the Wellington Hotel in Howden. The Jug & Bottle, in Bubwith, are also selling tickets.

Advance tickets will be available at all these businesses until midday on Saturday July 4, then only from Flourish & Prosper for the rest of that day.

Tickets on the gates cost £7 for faults, £3 for U14s and £17 for families.

There is a varied programme of entertainment planned for the show, with displays including birds of prey, Atkinson’s Action Horses, the Black Rock Llama Display Team, Allan Atkinson’s Working Dog Demonstrations, Kamishibai Story Box Theatre and Cool Science Fun.

There will also be a vintage vehicle display and funfair, with several food options from local businesses as well as trade stalls – including a tombola to raise funds for the Ashes Playing Field Trust.
