Howden AFC back at the Ashes

Howden AFC will return to the Ashes this weekend as their reserve side face Settrington.

The game will kick-off at 2pm on Saturday on the main field in the park and the spectators are welcome.

The Minstermen have expressed a desire to return to using the Ashes as a base on a more regular basis, and provisions to allow this have been included in the trustees’ masterplan which was recently presented to the public.

This includes draining and levelling the main field to allow it to withstand regular use, a new building to house changing facilities and toilets, and infrastructure improvements.
