Bridge will open up Jubilee Walk
The Ashes Playing Field will get a new addition this May, with the installation of a new bridge connecting the car park with the Jubilee Walk.
The bridge, on the site of one which previously existed, will make one of the park’s best kept secrets more accessible.
It will also allow easier access to the bowling greens and multi-use area, including heavier machinery required for improvements in that area of the park.
Work has already taken place to clear the areas around the abutments on either side of the moat, but the car park will be closed to visitors on Thursday 17 May. Installation will take place across Thursday and Friday.
Alternative pay and display parking is available in the East Riding car park off Hailgate, or their two car parks off Charles Briggs Avenue. There is also street parking available on the surrounding rounds.
