Packed out history talk

We had a packed Manor House for our second talk from Susan Butler on the history of the Ashes – revealing more about the centuries of history behind our park, including how we got our name.

Our thanks to Erin from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Susan for helping us put the talks on as we celebrate our 90th year as a public park, as well as Ian Screeton from Screetons for providing use of the historic building on our site.

We will have more events as we celebrate our 90th year in 2017 and imagine what we can add to the site by our centenary in a decade’s time.
